RG+A’s President/CEO, Roger Green along with staff, pictured above, celebrated ten years of giving back to the community by volunteering at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) to serve lunch as part of an event titled “Marty Green’s Lunch,” in honor of Marty Green, Roger Green’s late father.
RG+A has been partnering with TASK for a decade, providing volunteer efforts in meal services as well as material support to Feeding America, formerly known as America’s Second Harvest. Staff members, family, friends as well as business partners also made financial contributions online through the Marty Green’s Lunch page – a virtual food drive site through Feeding America’s website.
“It is only through the sustained support of groups such as [RG+A] that we are able to provide the high level of services to our neighbors,” says Charlie Orth, Volunteer and Patron Services Coordinator at TASK. “TASK staff and patrons are deeply appreciative of this commitment to our soup kitchen and the Feeding America efforts to battle hunger nationally.”
According to Green, “In 2009 we developed Marty Green’s Lunch in honor of my father who passed away in 2006. We celebrate and honor his passionate entrepreneurial and humanitarian efforts every year on July 24th, his birthday as well as mine. I am proud to carry on this legacy in his name with one of our favorite charities, Feeding America.”
