At RG+A, we are mindful of the world around us and of how fortunate we are. More importantly, we realize and embrace our obligation to help others. As our Core Value states, “we share a commitment to our colleagues, clients and our community.”
As a company, we are able to give back to the community in many ways. As individuals, we contribute toward a larger goal of bringing relief to those in need, in a variety of ways, throughout the year. Here are just a few:
Marty Green’s Lunch
What started as a birthday present for Roger Green, turned into a country-wide effort to support Feeding America’s Food Banks. Read the story here: http://help.feedingamerica.org/goto/Marty2014
The goal of Marty Green’s Lunch is to blanket the nation and reach all 206 food banks supported by Feeding America. So far, we have volunteers from more than 30 market research organizations committed to covering more than 65 locations. Contact us to get your organization involved.
RG+A dedicates this day to giving help where it’s needed, beautifying our environment, and planting trees. We spend each Arbor Day in a local state park, together, as a company. We plant trees which we have donated, we have team building activities and take a breather from the office setting to enjoy the beauty of nature, spending time together, and having fun.
Forever Green Recognition Program
Each week, our team gathers for a group luncheon where we read nominations for those who have demonstrated excellence in service, research, creativity, or by going above and beyond the duties of their job. Over the years, we have collected business cards at conferences and have made donations in honor of those participating.
At the end of each year, we tally those honored and donate that number of trees to the Nature Conservancy’s Plant A Billion initiative to replenish our world’s forests which are quickly disappearing due to catastrophic weather events and wildfires. Forests are also being destroyed by acid rain resulting from human pollution-causing activities and through the introduction of disease and invasive species.
RG+A is proud to have donated more than 1,500 trees since its Forever Green program began in 2010.
